Common Issues with Memory

  1. Compatibility
  1.  Q: Can’t install the memory, the notch location is not identical with the slot?

  A: It could be a compatibility issue , hold the new and the old memory together and  see if the notches are identical. 

 

  1. Issues\Not working
  1. Q: Installed the memory and system is not booting?

  A: If you bought two sticks , try to install one at a time and start the computer and see if both  sticks are defective or its only one that not working. Either way, you can fill the online RMA for replacement or refund.

 

              2)    Q: System keep crashing after installed the memory?

A: If you bought two sticks , try to install and one at a time and start the computer and see if both  sticks are defective or its only one that not working. Either way, you can fill the online RMA for replacement or refund.

 

              3)    Q: The Memory is not the size I bought? (e.g Bought 4GB but it reads only 3GB )

                          A:  The Memory might be defective and you can fill the online RMA for replacement or refund.

 

  1. Slots not available:

              1)    Q: I found only one slot for my memory and no place for the other stick?

  A: Some laptop models has only one slot for the memory and some of them will have the other                                  slot somewhere else in the motherboard (e.g underneath the keyboard) .

                          review your manufacturer's manual and you can fill the online RMA for replacement or refund.

 

  1. Wrong item

             1)        Q:  I have ordered the wrong memory?

                A:  You can fill the online RMA for replacement or refund.

 

             2)        Q:  Memory is not compatible with my laptop?

A:   It could be a compatibility issue , hold the new and the old memory together and  see if the  notches are identical. You can fill the online RMA for replacement or refund.
